VP – Product Management | Founding Product Leadership Role

The Role

We are looking for a VP – Product Management to take ownership of ProductFlo.ai’s product strategy, roadmap, product discovery and product execution.

This is a founding product leadership role. You will work closely with the founder, engineering, design, marketing and sales to define what we build, why we build it, for whom, and how we measure whether it creates value.

About ProductFlo.ai

ProductFlo.ai is an AI-powered product discovery and product-planning platform designed to help product creators move from insight and ideas to structured definition, design and execution. We are building a platform that brings together Ideation, Brainstorming, Frameworks and Reports to help Product Managers, Business Analysts, Founders, Product Leaders, Designers and Innovation teams structure their thinking and move faster from an idea to a well-defined product.

The ideal candidate is not simply a product roadmap manager. You should be comfortable operating at the intersection of product strategy, customer discovery, AI, UX, business strategy and execution.

What You’ll Own

  • Define and own the overall ProductFlo.ai product strategy and vision.
  • Translate the company’s vision into a clear product strategy, product pillars and roadmap.
  • Own the product lifecycle from discovery → definition → design → development → launch → measurement → iteration.
  • Establish and continuously refine ProductFlo.ai’s ICP, personas, use cases and jobs-to-be-done.
  • Conduct customer discovery and develop a deep understanding of Product Managers, Product Leaders, Founders, Business Analysts, Designers and Innovation teams.
  • Identify the highest-value customer problems and convert them into product opportunities.
  • Own the product roadmap and prioritization framework.
  • Balance customer needs, business objectives, technical feasibility, AI capabilities and engineering capacity.
  • Work closely with UX/Product Design to create intuitive and differentiated product experiences.
  • Work closely with Engineering to translate product requirements into technically feasible solutions and delivery milestones.
  • Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and product specifications where appropriate.
  • Establish product discovery and validation practices before significant engineering investment.
  • Define and monitor product KPIs including activation, engagement, retention, conversion, feature adoption and customer value.
  • Build a strong Product-Led Growth (PLG) mindset into the product strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to increase product stickiness, repeat usage and expansion.
  • Develop the product strategy for B2C/prosumer users and the future transition into B2B and enterprise.
  • Define the product strategy for integrations with ecosystems such as Figma, Jira, Asana, Notion, Miro and Microsoft Teams.
  • Shape ProductFlo.ai’s AI product strategy, including RAG, agentic workflows, AI-assisted product discovery and intelligent recommendations.
  • Establish processes for evaluating AI features based on quality, usefulness, reliability, cost and user outcomes.
  • Work with Marketing and Sales to translate product capabilities into compelling positioning, demos and customer-facing narratives.
  • Participate in customer calls, demos and sales conversations to continuously gather product insight.
  • Build and maintain a structured product feedback and decision-making system.
  • Establish product documentation, decision logs, assumptions tracking and product discovery artifacts.
  • Recruit, mentor and eventually build the Product Management organization.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience, preferably with meaningful experience in SaaS, AI, B2B software or productivity platforms.
  • Experience owning product strategy rather than only managing execution or delivery.
  • Strong experience taking products from concept/0→1 through product-market fit and subsequent scaling.
  • Strong customer discovery and problem-framing capabilities.
  • Experience defining ICPs, personas, JTBDs, value propositions and product opportunities.
  • Strong product prioritization and roadmap management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of SaaS product metrics, PLG and product analytics.
  • Strong understanding of UX and product design principles.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior engineers and understand technical trade-offs.
  • Strong understanding of modern AI/GenAI capabilities and how they can be converted into useful product experiences.
  • Ability to distinguish between an interesting AI capability and a genuinely valuable customer problem.
  • Strong analytical and structured-thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in an early-stage startup with incomplete information.
  • Willingness to be hands-on with customer research, PRDs, prototypes, analytics and product decisions.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset and ownership mentality.

AI / GenAI Experience

AI is a core part of ProductFlo.ai, so we are particularly interested in product leaders who understand how AI changes traditional product development.

You should be comfortable discussing:

  • LLM-powered product experiences
  • RAG and knowledge-grounded AI
  • Agentic / multi-agent workflows
  • Prompt engineering and structured outputs
  • AI evaluation and quality measurement
  • Model limitations and hallucination management
  • AI cost and latency considerations
  • Human-in-the-loop workflows
  • AI-assisted product discovery and research
  • The difference between building an AI demo and building a reliable AI product

You don’t need to be an ML engineer, but you should be able to work effectively with AI/engineering teams and make informed product decisions involving AI.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building AI-native SaaS products.
  • Experience with Product-Led Growth.
  • Experience taking a B2B SaaS product from 0→1.
  • Experience selling to Product, Design, Engineering or Innovation organizations.
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS and enterprise procurement.
  • Experience building products for Product Managers, Business Analysts, Designers or Founders.
  • Experience with collaboration/productivity platforms.
  • Prior startup or founding-team experience.
  • Experience raising capital or working closely with founders/investors.
  • Existing network within product, design, technology or startup communities.

What Success Looks Like

During the first phase, success will mean:

  • A clearly defined ProductFlo.ai product strategy and product vision.
  • A prioritized roadmap tied to measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Clear ICPs, personas and high-value use cases.
  • A repeatable product discovery process.
  • Strong customer feedback loops.
  • Improved activation, engagement and repeat usage.
  • Clear product metrics and decision-making frameworks.
  • Successful delivery of high-value product capabilities.
  • A differentiated AI product experience rather than simply adding AI features.
  • A product organization and operating model that can scale after funding.

Compensation: Equity-based.

ProductFlo.ai is currently pre-funded and is not offering a salary at this stage. The selected candidate will receive equity participation, with the percentage, vesting and other terms agreed separately. This is intended as a founding-team-level opportunity with significant ownership of the product direction.

Why Join ProductFlo.ai?

  • Join at an early stage and have significant ownership of the company’s product direction.
  • Work directly with the founder and influence company-level decisions.
  • Build an AI-native product from the ground up.
  • Shape the future of how product teams discover, define and design products.
  • Work across product strategy, AI, UX, engineering, growth and business.
  • Participate in the company’s upside through equity-based compensation.
