ProductFlo.ai is an AI-powered product discovery and product-planning platform designed to help product creators move from insight and ideas to structured definition, design and execution. We are building a platform that brings together Ideation, Brainstorming, Frameworks and Reports to help Product Managers, Business Analysts, Founders, Product Leaders, Designers and Innovation teams structure their thinking and move faster from an idea to a well-defined product.

We are a small, fast-moving team, and this role offers the opportunity to work directly on a product that real users interact with.

This is a hands-on internship with direct mentorship, real product ownership and the potential for a full-time opportunity based on performance and business requirements.

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Developer Intern who wants to learn by building real software.

You will work across the frontend, backend and AI layers of ProductFlo.ai and gain practical experience building an LLM-powered SaaS product. This is not a training-only internship or a role where you will work on live projects. You will contribute to real product features, production code and customer-facing experiences, with guidance and code review from the engineering team. 

What You’ll Do

• Build and ship UI features across ProductFlo.ai’s product workflows.
• Work on dashboards, AI-generated reports, template selection and other product experiences.
• Develop frontend features using React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS and component libraries.
• Build and maintain REST APIs using Node.js and Express.
• Work with PostgreSQL and backend data models.
• Work directly with LLM integrations and AI-powered product features.
• Learn and contribute to prompt-driven generation workflows and structured AI outputs.
• Work with JSON-based AI responses and integrate them into product experiences.
• Fix bugs and improve performance across the application.
• Write clean, typed and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback.
• Collaborate with product, design and engineering team members.
• Learn how a real AI-powered SaaS product is designed, developed, tested and shipped.

The current ProductFlo.ai stack includes Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, Auth0, OpenAI, Anthropic, Git, AWS S3 and Razorpay integrations. ProductFlo Developer Intern

What We’re Looking For

• 0–3 years of experience — students, recent graduates and early-career developers are welcome.
• Solid fundamentals in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Some hands-on experience with React, whether through coursework, personal projects, internships or previous work.
• Basic understanding of how frontend applications communicate with backend services.
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP and JSON.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development.
• Basic understanding of software development fundamentals.
• Curiosity about how AI/LLM products are built and deployed in real applications.
• Strong willingness to learn and experiment.
• Ability to take ownership of small features and follow them through to completion.
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Comfortable asking questions, receiving feedback and improving quickly.

AI / GenAI Interest

You don’t need to be an AI expert. However, we are particularly interested in candidates who are curious about Generative AI and LLM-powered applications.

It would be valuable if you have experimented with:

• OpenAI or Anthropic APIs
• Prompt engineering
• Structured JSON outputs
• AI-powered applications
• Chatbots or conversational interfaces
• RAG or vector databases
• AI agents
• AI-assisted coding
• Personal AI/LLM projects

What matters most is curiosity and the ability to learn, rather than having extensive professional AI experience.
